I may be biased, but once again it seems someone is being awfully quick to claim descrediting ALH84001 without really doing a thorough job of research. As I said earlier, there is no way their data eliminates the possibility of biologic origin for the ALH84001 magnetite. Based on the reply, I'd say it barely even reduces the probability.

Off course, the ALH team's reply should appear in a refereed journal after review by experts far more knowledgable than I to constitute a proper scientific rebuttal. It is a little curious that the ALH team is so quick to reply in this fashion.
