I've gone back to the website known as
www.astronautix.com and checked out the technical info on the up-and-coming
new, American space-booster known as
Delta IV...
I'm both flabbergasted and excited by its potential.
Here's things you should know about the Delta IV's potential....
(1)It can park a little more than 25,000 kilos [25 metric tons] in LEO. That's more than the Proton rocket can achieve.
(2) It has a stated launch-price of
only 270-million dollars U.S.
(3)[This is where I get excited!] The Delta-IV will be able
to send a little over 11,000-kilos to GTO, which also means that it can send
9,500-kilos to the moon!
To put it in perspective, the three-man Soyuz spacecraft has a mass
of roughly 7,000 kilos [fully-loaded],
9,500 kilos should be enough for a three-man spacecraft to orbit the moon.

Some "potentially" good news for a change.
