We are fairly confident that we will reach a point where the computational power of computers will allow them to mimic, if not actually become, human intelligence. What if black holes are intrinsically alive as well? What if matter itself becomes alive when it reaches a certain density such as that of a black hole?
If so then life will persist till the end of the universe, even after the universe becomes cold.
