While there's a great deal to learn from the Enron investigations, it appears that sweetheart deals and some shady transactions had a lot to do with the company's failure.
As for NASA, incredibly poor management resulting in multibillion dollar overruns on the ISS has come back to bite the agency in the butt. Good. I support space exploration but that doesn't mean NASA deserves a blank check to keep on doing things in the same stupid and shoddy way, management wise. It's time that someone went in and makes a good attempt at cleaning up the mess that is NASA. Either that, or maybe it's time to step back and reevaluate whether NASA deserves to survive. They say that every addict has to hit rock bottom before he's ready to reform. Perhaps that applies to government agencies as well. Given NASA's decades long dismal track record of management failure, it's time for a bean counter to take over.
Space/Science » in reply to NASA may be BRAC'D by financial alchemists--remember they screwed Enron
It appears to me that Enron screwed themselves
