In the vast interstellar and intergalactic voids where the effects of gravity are almost non-existent, could these gravitational "orbitals" occur at great distances?
Could interstellar travel occur in "quantum leaps". If so it would simply be a matter of supplying the spacecraft with enough energy to leap across the void. Neat.
