The X-33 carcass is being put in storage at Edwards. The airframe will sit in this hangar for the indefinite future.
Reminds me a lot of the fate of our ATV Roton prototype, which also currently sits gathering spiders in our high bay building at the Mojave Airport. Hopefully, someday we can get the money required to move it to a museum.
Some minor differences between the two:
- The Roton ATV at least got off the ground
- We spent about $30 million on the entire project, including all costs and company overhead, which was about 1/4 of 1 percent of the $1.2 billion shot to heck on the X-33.
