Making a space colony out of 433 Eros.
Okay, it's a high school project, but still kind of cool.
Capturing it in a near-Earth orbit seems to require a swing-by within 6300 km of Earth. A little spooky. One hopes that small errors in translating metric and English terms do not occur.
The environmental impact statement on this project would fill a baseball stadium, but the possibilities with mining alone, never mind colonies, are staggering. Perhaps trajectories involving only lunar swing-bys could be used?
