Re: Posting this idea again...

Hi Tom,

Let's see...building launch vehicles is pretty expensive. To win a lot of money TAKES a lot of money.

I could go down to Bank of America and present my plan for a launch vehicle - and they would spend about five minutes looking at my proposal politely and say "Thank you very much...don't let the door hit you too hard on the way out!" (or something to that effect)

Realistically, even millionaires can't compete, you have to be a larger scale multi-millionaire and who wants to risk failure with one's own money - not a lot of folks.

For small inventing the idea works fine. For inexpensive inventing the idea works fine.

However, for space vehicle development the idea will not get the sort of return you are envisioning.

As Uncle Scrooge would say,

"What do you think I'm made of money!? Get out! Spendthrifts!"

("The Great Lunar Gold Rush" moon race would not happen in real life. Scientists and Texas cattle ranchers can't just build a moonship on a whim)

Reality's rough....
