There seem to have been an interest in many small satellites, but Iridium went bankrupt and other companies are reconsidering (Gates seems to have dropped the project).
And it should help companies like OSC with their Pegasus rocket.
Now, launching huge solar power satellites.....I wonder..It doesn't seem to attract investors.
There are no Heavy Lift Launch Vehicles available (because there is no existing market for them).
The Shuttle carries only 1/5th of its weight as payload, when ELV's have the entire mass taken into orbit represented by the payload (well, if it's low earth orbit).
