I wasn't aware of the use of web-cams for astro-photography until I started reading your posts. (I’ve been away from astronomy for a while)
I'm wondering how a web-cam can be better than a CCD.
Doesn't the CCD develop the image over time (several seconds/minutes?) collecting more light than the real-time web-cam?
