Re: Deuterium/Hydrogen Mars ratio.

Ok next time I wont hit the enter key after I type the subject line.

According to the March issue of Sky and Telescope Pg 18 "A Wiff of Vanished Martian Seas"

The theroy is the water was split and the hydrogen drifted off into interstellar space, well I suppose the oxygen had to combine with the iron in the soil.

This is my problem with that theroy.

If there was electrical activity, IE lighting strikes, wouldn't the Oxygen and hydrogen recombine back into water vapor?
