With a little digging, you can get all sorts of NASA technical data including on the Hubble. The problem is, once you put technology developed for the Black World on an unclassified project like the Hubble, it becomes part of the public domain. Other than the aerodynamic factors of hypersonic flight, there are reasons why the Buran looked so much like the Shuttle. The Soviets went all out to get their hands on the NASA technical specs. MSNBC had a good series on this a few years ago but I don't think it's on their website anymore.
It isn't a matter of NASA scientists and engineers being unconcerned about security. It's more the unclassified nature of NASA operations. A big part of NASA's charter is sharing technology which is completely opposite of how the Black World has to operate.
Space/Science » in reply to I agree about the possible reasons for reticence to share "black" technology.
NASA stuff is in the public domain
