& all those lessons indicate that this is a very good decision; which will antagonise the White House no end.
In a political environment where there are very significant differences between European & USAmerican policy, Europe can't afford to be in a position where it can be blackmailed into supportting a position it disagrees with simply because it lacks a key military & commercial technology; & Galileo will prevent that - which is why the US (& its British lackeys) oppose the project.
