"New Russian rocket makes its debut"
Pretty good CNN article about the Rokot booster used to launch the GRACE mission last weekend. The Rokot is a derivative of the SS-19 ICBM with a new Breeze-KM engine. This engine is also being fitted to the venerable Proton booster, creating an upgraded Proton-M rocket. I think this is the same as the Encylopedia Astronautica's Proton KM booster with the Briz-M upper stage. It seems to have substancially increased performance over earlier Protons with a full metric ton more capacity to GEO. Pretty impressive.
