Hi Dan, First I want to thank you for the pics you provided of the fog ice halos, very cool and interesting.
In response to the thread on page 2 which is about to leave, I'm not sure we should be comparing man made positive charged xenon ions to the ions from a comet and you might have seen this artist rendering <a/> of the ion exhaust from Deep Space 1. SteveS
