Hello Dan: You said that;
“It was a hectic day here at WorldCom. Massive layoffs, and my workload just tripled.”
I’d like to be as lucky as you :-( ,at least you have a job : -)
“Anyway”...

J= So, the question is; did Earth contaminate the Solar system with life or was Earth contaminated from space. ;-)
D = “I would have to say it most probably did -- if there is evidence out there. And this evidence could predate life on Earth by tens, even hundreds of millions of years, and still be considered ours -- Earth’s -- for a terrestrial form that might have escaped prior to the great impact that formed our Moon.”
J= Hmm…. Interesting…. In other words, if such a scenario were the case, then ‘life’ that may have evolved on other planets would have had time to develop into beings like us.
D= “The Earth orbits within the habitable zone of the Solar system. It is here that life would be expected, simply because it is here that it is so easily found.”
J= I suppose that such “habitable zones” can occur around other stars also.
Snip
J= Thank you for the web sites they are great.
D= Mars, from Bill Arnett’s The Nine Planets web site.
J= What if the evidence would indicate the existence of intelligent life on the planet, would we be comfortable while wondering about it? :-)
D= Not at all. We would be there
J= You say we would be there? Could you elaborate on that.
Johannes
