Re: Most succinct summary of modern cosmology
Many years ago they were considering building a nuclear power plant near my hometown. I did not live there anymore, but my brother told me of a meeting they had to explain to the local officials who were concerned about safety. The experts from the company planning the plant were going through how stable the area had been over the last few million years. Later my brother heard one of the locals, who is a Seven-Day Adventist, say “I didn’t have the heart to tell the guy (geologist expert) that the earth is only 4000 years old”. They never built the nuclear power plant.
