Fossil-fuels can be made "green"

Hi Guys

A piece from a couple of weeks ago...

...OK so it's not Space, but it is of future and present concern. Cee-Oh-Two can be captured and sequestered cheaply, so why don't we?

The "Greens" have a valid point - we can't rely on fossil fuels forever, but they're what we have now.

Gutting the economy for the sake of a greenhouse effect with doubtful consequences is absurd, and would ground humanity.

But the "Greens" are right in one sense - fossil fuels aren't forever and they are running out at an alarming rate.

As I have noted if we fuel-cell reacted all the world's coal we have just 1,200 years worth... but only in a "no-growth" economic situation. Once exponential growth is factored in we have ~ 100 years worth.

Humanity deserves better than the low-energy future the loonier Greens would have us adopt.

We need fusion and ultra-cheap solar. We need more energy and not less. Space has the resources we will need in coming centuries of energy useage growth.

PS
I have just increased my investment in a hopeful future... my second child, Apryll Jane Georgia, arrived Thursday morning 4 AM Eastern Australian time. I want an energy wealthy tomorrow for her to grow into...
