You may very well be right, Raoul. I only remember them working to replace the coolant (cryogenic?).
I'm not sure which HST camera shot this series of photos it may have been taken only with a red filter or in the infrared [as suggested (here) in the last set of photos], but today's photo of IRAS 19297-0406, the colliding foursome, looks much better. :)
