It has a story.
According to the exact moment the picture was taken, it could only have been Anders who made the picture.
The precise location of the terminator shows it's crossing Ireland; this enabled analysts to determine it was taken at the moment of the 4th Moon orbit, which corresponded to a moment when Borman took a black and white picture of the same Earth, just above the Lunar surface, threw the camera to Anders who quickly inserted a color film and took the shot. The Earth is 2 degrees wide, from the Moon. The Apollo spacacrafts took 2 hours to turn around the Moon (360 degrees) which meant it took 40 seconds to see the Earth emerge from the surface (if full).
Amazingly enough, it's not during the first nor the second orbit they saw their first Earthrise (the Apollo was flying backwards) but perhaps the fourth orbit.
