A question of magnitude...
Hi Guys
Just a question about the apparent visible magnitude of the Sun and the Moon. By using the absolute bolometric magnitude for the Sun of +4.77 (at 10 psc) I get an apparent magnitude of -26.8 at 1 A.U. So what then is the visible magnitude for the Sun?
And by using an albedo of 0.06 for the Moon, it's apparent bolometric magnitude is -11.3. What are the currently accepted values for these figures?
