When I think of the ISS gone, I get a strong wave of saddness.
On the other hand, I get frustrated and wish the money had gone for Mars, the Moon, Europa AND Pluto. Could have easily done a lot for what we get from the ISS.
I wonder what "science" there is for it, beyond "curiosity". (I realize the two are very similar.) I haven't heard of anything which is earth-shaking, and am sure it would have been trumpeted if there were.
I don't know if it's throwing good money after bad to keep it going, along with the Shuttle, if it's on the verge of some return, or if it's just face-saving to try to wring something out of it.
Glad they aren't my decisions to make.
