The latest on Ted Williams; long term space travel gains as a result?

Ted Williams' oldest daughter (the one who wants him thawed, cremated and eternally annihilated) just learned that she's been cut out of his will. The will's executor (not Ted's son) says that despite what the will says, Ted wanted to be frozen:

The executor hasn't offered proof yet but I bet Ted gets to continue chilling out, thereby adding some prestige and entrepreneurial legitimacy to a technology that >MIGHT< someday be useful for long distance space travel. Regardless of its utility for traveling in space, it could CONCEIVABLY (I know this is a stretch but maybe the technology will work someday?) enable us to be alive in an era when Mars colonization is already complete. That's something worth looking forward to, to say the least.
