Now if we can only direct the Asteroid toward Mars so we can study the global effects of one large body striking another...

But that will probably need to wait until we have determined if life exists on Mars first. Maybe we could use Venus instead. Maybe the addition of a ring of planetary debris surrounding Venus will cool off the Planet and make it a little closer to livable.

Somebody please get NASA working on this idea!

Think of the Science.

Think of the public interest in such a project.

Think of the gloom-and-doomers coming out of the woodwork.

Come on! It would be fun! it would be like the time I blew up the Chemistry lab in high school.
