Dust Devil trails in Russell Crater
For dust devils to form, there must be a temperature difference. These often form on slopes that heat up by the sun. Perhaps this process help deposit frozen water on the opposite side of the slope?
I have noticed frost deposits on the southwest slopes in the southern hemisphere, which is what slope these channels are on.
