Space/Science

Trying to fan a spark or two.

SpaceStore.com runs some interesting sales from time to time.
Last week I lucked into something that I am sending over to my kid's schools.
They were liquidating a video library from NASA consisting of 30 videos, averaging about 35 minutes each.
The price was $50.00 plus shipping.
I ordred the last three they had at this time.
They tell me that they will be running other sales like this over time.
The library stretches all the way back to footage from Mercury era activities, covers a lot of Gemini stuff and other topics.
I am looking forward to this a lot.
Each of the schools my kids go to has a lot of students who like space and hunger for more than they can get easily so far.
I am hoping this will help spark more interest in these potential future engineers and workers.
The point of this post is not to highlight some little thing I do but rather to suggest to anyone here who likes space stuff to think about shopping for things like this. It may spark an interest.
Enough time is passing, and enough lethargy and ressitance is building up that frankly it is up to each of us to see that the bright hopeful light that space represents does not burn out.
Maybe our generation is losing its way towards the promise of space, but we can't give up imho.
