Why is it when these things go wrong it always happens at the point where they are not in contact? I would assume they were saving money by not putting a tracking ship in the Indian Ocean to be in contact when the motor was fired. If it exploded the TM might have given an indication of that, and then again maybe not. It might have just ended abruptly. Whether they know what happened or not, it is not likely they will re-fly this mission. All is lost. >:-(
