Re: King Baudouin
Our late King Baudouin was a notorious amateur astronomer who owned a telescope.
He went to visit all the astronomy associations of the country. He also saw the Apollo 10 launch from the Cape.
The former president of our club works for the Royal Palace and he had an evening chat, once, with the King which left an everlasting impression on him.
I've heard that a few minutes before his death in Spain in 93, he was looking through his scope in the garden.
