Bass flight - Through the murk darkly

At the start of the Bass flight, Tumlinson and Mircorp were not in the path.

Then came the reports of non-payment.

Since the N Synch orgnaiztion has money, and lots of it, that left two possibilities. One was tax structuring. The other, which I did not consider possible, was that MirCorp was still functioning. After all, the Mir station is now at the bottom of the Pacific, and the loss to the governments of the US and Russia from Tumlinson's scheme stands at some $50,000,000.

We now find MirCorp announcing itself as a backer of the Bass mission, and also find that Tumlinson and YP were on the path that Atlas Aerospace had to take to obtain services from the RSA.

Could it be that Krief offered the RSA money, but that money was turned down, since MirCorp was insisting that its services had to be used to access those of the RSA?

I actually feel kind of sorry for YP for getting involved with Tumlinson, but if Tumlinson has persuaded Yuri to put Russian government space assets in his own pocket, then perhaps the Russian prosecutors need to learn a new word, like "co-conspirator". Last time I checked, Yuri's krus was lying on top of several hundred million dollars worth of rockets.

Well, time will tell - but if Tumlinson manages to screw Bass's flight up, my guess is that NASA is going to sell Bass a seat on the shuttle - something that several Representatives have already advocated that NASA do -
