I did see that -- albeit too late to retract my email. I had considered responding again to apologize, but thought it best to just wait for this email from you.

Sorry for the outburst, but, seeing Planet-X associated with a NASA site sent me a bit over the edge,
Dan

Subject: NASA KIDS Question

Dan Spires,

Thanks for your comments. The page in reference was written by a child in our NASA KIDS club. We do not edit nor censor our club members. A few weeks ago, however, we have added a disclaimer to our kids writings to let the web audiences know that the content was not created nor edited by NASA. We want to encourage creativity and let the kids feel like they too are a part of NASA.

Thanks for visiting NASA KIDS.

What is this about?

M ercury, the 1st planet,
V enus, the hottest planet
E arth, the planet, with precious life
M ars, it is a possible evacuation home!
J upiter, the biggest planet
S aturn, the other gas planet.
U ranus, the tilted planet
P luto, the smallest planet.
N ibiru, the planet in all the places of order, up to 5th, it might be the biggest current danger to earth cause of it's magnetic powers, which might cause devastation in June 2003, however this is just a theory. It has an elliptical orbit.

http://kids.msfc.nasa.gov/Stories/ViewStory.asp?ID=754

First of all, Mars is not a possible evacuation planet, simply because there are NO spacecraft currently in the planning stages that could take 1 person to Mars, let alone the Earth's population.

Now, about this "10th Planet" crap. When did ANY scientist EVER confirm the existence of Nibiru, and when was its orbit PLOTTED?

"The 10 planets of our solar system, including Nibiru (planet of the passing) by Cpt. Rob"

It's an intriguing title, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to burst a little bubble here. There are NOT 10 planets in our system, and I'm very disappointed that NASA seems to "know" there is. The Niribu "theory" belongs on a page of "theories" (or even better, a page of "wild ideas"), not a page of reviewed, scientific "facts."

At first glance, one would assume these pages were designed for educational purposes, not the proliferation of some pseudo-scientific agenda..

No wonder we're still stuck in LEO,

Be professional enough to find a spellchecker for your pages, then use it.

I don’t mind taking a spill now and then. I haven't been perfect for weeks, now.

Cheers, all,
