These people used to find their life's work sitting on the low wall outside of town, swinging their feet, wearing a sign that said "village idiot." The conspiracy crackpots don't get nearly the kicking around they deserve.

Wonder what would have happened if Buzz had grabbed the Bible, and sworn on it? I suppose the guy would have said "oh, well. That's all right then," walked away, and actually gotten a job?

Again, what makes people want to believe that their entire life and everything they see is just a thin veneer over an underlying black, seething, evil chaos?
