I couldn't find anything on the Honda race car but there are several good sites out there on ceramic engine technology.

They mentioned that the engines should run at combustion temps -3000F and that no lube was needed! (what about rods, bearings and cranks or are they all ceramic?)

3000F seems a little warm for valves too. Maybe they're talking about a two stroke or a wankle.
