Doesn't it depend on the source, (Jupiter vs quasar)... Strength/energy and distance/time... the cause of descellaration of the Voyagers(Wait, that's another story). I'm sure there's a meeting place in there somewhere such in the case of two runners(gravity and light) running neck and neck, but eventually, one gets tired. Light may be more constant and further reaching, but it will be the one to get tired first.

I think that the clusters of stars and their environment near the center of dormant galaxies and active galaxies(those that have active black holes at their center)should be studied further.
