Hi Delbert,

The Reuben H Fleet Space Museum in Balboa Park is one of my old haunts...a great place with a great OMNIMAX theater and an absolutely great place to take the kids with science games, etc.

The gifts in the gift shop are priced stratospherically - but hey they have to make some money off of their investment.

The neighborhood around it has gone to seed, so keep your car parked near the entrance as possible. But hey - it's all relative. There's also a cool air & space museum in the same park and a car museum for those who are spacebuffs and motorheads (like me) where they had for awhile on display one of the 50 Tuckers which were made.
