Some could say that every disagreement between a government and a religion is a matter of morality. And clearly an organization trying to provide for the welfare of everyone will run afoul of every religion at one time or another. That's religion.
Neither should churches have to teach that which is counter to their doctrine. And here is where I'd disagree with you.
I don't believe a hospital is a church. I believe a hospital is chartered, licensed and all that to provide for the welfare of people. All people. And those people deserve to have all the information they need. Including eating oysters if that would help them. Or about abortion of birth control. If they do not want to help everyone make reasonable choices they should get out of the business. Obama was right.
I worked for a Roman Catholic hospital and the liberal Catholics vehemently disagreed with the RC stand on abortion. In fact, Roman Catholics question the churches stand on many things and still regard themselves as good Roman Catholics. Given the choice between Gingrich and Obama they would vote twice for Obama. Given the choice between Romney and Obama they would only vote once.
I think everyone is "set" in their ideas on this, the single issue people were lost anyway and those thinking for themselves will have nowhere else to go. I doubt there is much "sway" out there on this issue.
