Finally saw a Progress freighter
Had a really good ISS observation opportunity tonight, magnitude -.3 right across the sky. A sharp-eyed neighbor kid spotted the tiny dim dot following along behind it, which had not been listed in the Heavens-Above database. I checked, and yes, a Progress freighter had been launched last Wednesday, and was due to almost be caught up with the ISS tonight. Not quite as cool as a Shuttle following along behind, but not bad.
Something "flared" in the western sky just before the ISS came up over the trees. Don't know what that was. No Iridium flare was listed for tonight.
