Larry Ellison was one of the people we tried hard to interest in investing in Rotary Rocket and other private space endeavors. No soap--not interested. Read in today's Mercury News that he's dumping about $89 million on the Americas Cup race, or about three times the total money spent by Rotary Rocket during its lifetime. Okay, I can't fault him--it's a free country. But it is a bit depressing.
