Bad moon rising?....Or a coincidence turned into hogwash?

Stephen Saxby was a 19'th century naval officer and meteorologist who
predicted, 10 months in advance, that a superstorm was to hit "somewhere" on earth on October/5th/1869 due to, what he calculated was, a very unusual Sun-Moon-Earth alignment [Moon at Perigee? Earth at Perihelion the same day?] on that date.

On Oct/5th/1869, there was in fact
a deadly, extremely powerful and violent storm that swept into the Bay of Fundy,
killing 100 people in New Brunswick.

Guess what?
This coming Oct/6th/2002, the Sun-Moon-Earth will be in the same
allignment that they were, 133 years ago.
Coinkeedink?...Or should you go wash your hog?

Pleasant dreams.
