Breaking though the dark universe.

LSST (Large-aperture Synoptic Survey Telescope) could possibly do it. It doesn’t look for dark matter it map’s the distribution of dark matter.

The LSST will open an unprecedented cinematic new view of the ‘dark’ sky and do things that the old guy’s thought impossible a few years back.

It will map the entire night sky down to 24th magnitude that’s about 30,000 galaxies and three thousand stars per square degree of sky not counting tens of thousands of asteroid’s. Excellent!

Doing a census and mapping the Kuiper belt seems to be one of LSST’s main goals since we don’t know much about it.

We are finally going after killer asteroids and comets. It’s about time.
