Okay, I am officially dying to see this thing...

Hey Dan,

My account at skybum@contagion.org has plenty of room for those pictures, and I can post them online with my attbi.com account. And if you have any interest in my firstborn child, left testicle, or any of my limbs, consider them yours.

It seems like the X-Prize is really heating up these days. Xcor has demonstrated routine rocketplane operations; Canadian arrow has their airframe under construction, has tested all their major propulsion components, and is about to do a full-up propulsion test; Armadillo just got their first person airborn, in a small open-air vehicle which is nonetheless not that much simpler than a suborbital vehicle; Rutan has built his mothership; and Hobbyspace reports that Starchaser is making real progress...

...This just may happen yet. Seems like there are now more teams closer to winning the X-Prize than there were to winning the CATS prize, back in the day. Although sometimes it seems like there's nothing but stagnation going on around here, comparing where we are now to just a few years ago reveals that real progress has been made. (I do miss Gary Hudson, however...)

Cheers,

Nathan.
