Some seismic stations can detect sonic booms

There have been reports from California that when the SR-71 was flying, its sonic booms could be detected by seimic monitors. The same is true for the Shuttle when it lands at Edwards AFB. Early in the 1990s, there were reports of new sonic booms being detected. These became part of the Aurora folklore. It's possible that sonic booms from a meteor could be detected by a sensitive seismograph.
