That would be icing on the cake.
But I don't see us going to Mars anytime soon. The overwhelming amount of evidence coming from ALH84001 for past life is about as subtle as a T-Rex skull. One or two indicators could be explained away by non organic means, but what's the chance for all of these factors together being caused by something other than life?
