Happy Birthday, DSCS-III
My old bird, the DSCS-III was first launched 20 years ago today. The constellation continues to provide the backbone of military satellite communications. Many of them are well beyond their 10 year design life and still functioning properly. There were 12 DSCS-III satellite built with two remaining to be launched.
