This is a question about the comet-probe, STARDUST.
I checked the STARDUST website, and learned that the NAvCam has a focal-length of 200mm.
Tomorrow, the STARDUST will fly
by the asteroid "Annefrank", passing within 3000 km of that 4km diameter
space rock.
My question is: with a focal-length of 200mm, what is the magnification-power of STARDUST's NavCam?
[A naked eye, with good vision, can apparently see detail as small as 1.5 - 2.0km at a distance of 3000km, from what I understand]
