I'm sorry that you interpret my comments as calling for a "free rein" for TB. Or, given that I think we all should get the freest rein possible, that I want TB to have more rein than anyone else.
No, bowser, what bothered me was what I said, that ER vowed to discredit Tom, to engage in a concerted campaign of blocking him. It was going beyond talking about politics on the Zone to playing politics on the Zone. The nasty kind, like Mitch McConnell consecrating his term in the Senate to destroying Obama. How can we decry that kind of politics while engaging in it?
When I asked ER if he didn't have something better to do, I was saying that I think that ER is capable of more, and that playing nasty politics is, I thought, beneath him. I'm trying to encourage us all to be better.
The clash of ideas is a wonderful thing.
