An observation.
It could well be that "they" will not reveal what did the actual damage for security reasons. It might be easier to say it was a Hellfire than the truth, a car bomb, or people on the ground, in order to protect assets and sources.
AND, if they took after this mouse with an elephant gun, they will always say there were secondary explosions in order to cover what they really used, AND to make the folks they "got" look worse.
Not a ditch I'd die in, but a reasonable ditch, nonetheless.
