Re: An interesting NASA contract

That is interesting, Tom. My first reaction is that you are well-qualified to go for it, based both on "domain knowledge" and writing skill.

I think, though, that a winning proposal will take more than than the efforts of one person. It should describe a team and a moderately innovative deliverable.

You must know lots of people who could help. In these parts alone, there are a couple of professional tech writers (one local ;-) ), plus several people with applicable technical experience and knowledge.

The deliverable wouldn't be all that innovative, more like "how things are done today": Dual-media, printed and Web. It's the Web version that could be eye-catching, with the opportunity to use multimedia from NASA's library as well as newly-created material from the interviews. Also, it's easy to transfer a Web site to a CDROM or DVD, for a third delivery channel.

Wouldn't it be cool if Team HabitableZone got the contract?
