Off course this is just play-acting to a pseudo-scientist who thinks pure fiction is a better way to reach conclusions. I wonder if BD even knows enough to realize a real Mars suit would weigh >2.5 as much on Earth making any kind of operational simulation with it at as questionable as a nonfunctional weight equivalent mock-up. Maybe he just doesn't comprehend the operational test focus of the sims. They are not intended as space-suit tests.
