<Some things were never meant for us to understand or know. But we must remember that out there our physics, knowledge and reasoning have no bearing.
Of course they have a bearing. So far, there is no evidence that the laws of nature in the rest of the universe (not counting extremes like the center of black holes) aren't pretty much the same as they are here. How else are you going to figure something out unless you use reason and observation? Scientific "facts" discerned by eating peyote until you barf aren't worth much.
Anything is possible. Nothing is impossible until proven otherwise.
Many things are impossible. Most just require applying Aristotle's Law of Identity. I don't have to prove something is impossible for it to be untrue. For example, it is physically possible for a flock of penguins to be in my living room, but I happen to know that there is no flock of penguins in my living room. If you have one of those minds that thinks that a flock of penguins may appear in the living room when you happen to be looking the other way, and then vanish when you turn back, I can't help you there.
As for your ancient tablets, there are so many rural legends like this floating around, it would be hard to nail one down in particular. This nutball is probably one source.
