Farewell Brave Traveller

I watched that launch, not aware of how deeply the voyage of that small bit of metal and plastic would affect me. I saw the pictures with awe. Our first real look at the solar system.

In all the time it has traveled I have grow older, and more aware of how fragile this tiny bit of matter circling a small non-descript star we inhabit is.

11 Light hours, 7.5 billion miles. The warranty ran out long ago. But it keeps chugging along. Bet if we could reach it it would still work. A credit to the NASA of old, and dedicated people with a vision.
